Massage Therapy for Women and Families

About Me

Heather Maynard graduated from Wellness and Massage Training Institute in 2002 with over 770 hours of training in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Her extensive training has included coursework in pregnancy massage, working with women who have suffered from abuse, teaching baby massage, manual lymphatic drainage, acupressure and myofascial release. Additionally, she has experience working with women who are grieving, women living with fibromyalgia and women recovering from mastectomy surgery. She is also a Certified Newborn Massage Instructor and  has served families in Illinois as a doula since 2000 and uses this experience to inform her work with pregnant women and infants.

To learn more about her massage style and techniques visit her Therapeutic Specialties Page.

When she is not working she enjoys art, gardening, watching movies with her husband and playing with her two very energetic children.
